Looking for last minute holiday gifts? Look no further– our team got together to share some of our favorite gift ideas! And spoiler alert, most of them you can get right here in Indy. (We know the time for online orders has come and gone at this point!)

Molly, our Executive Director:

  • Perfect gift for your sister (or sister-like friend!) JAX KELLY stud earrings (around $50). These cute and unique ear bobs are dainty and sweet. They intentionally don’t match because “They are sisters, not twins.”  — Civies SoBro
  • For the kiddo (of all ages!) – the Buddha Board, $25. Get ready to get your Zen on! The simple, yet relaxing activity features a paintbrush, water bowl and mounted screen. “Paint” your masterpiece with water and then watch it disappear. Hours of uninterrupted fun. Purchase at Mass Ave Toys.
  • For that one who loves Athleisure…looking for a great new yoga outfit to kick off your New Year’s resolutions? Visit Love Your Body.

Karissa, our Director of Development & Operations:

  • Local chai and literature! Pop into Indy Reads Books and snag a copy of the Indpls City Guide or Indy Writes Books. Both your neighborhood-loving and new-to-the-city friends will appreciate your savvy taste, especially when paired with a bottle of small batch Bhota Chai concentrate from SoBro Cafe. Mmm!
  • For the littles on your list you’ll never go wrong at Mass Ave Toys (now located in the shops at 54th and Monon). Browse the wall of giftable kids books, and wander the tables and shelves filled with stomp rockets, doll houses, origami papers and science kits. Play a little and be sure that whatever you pick won’t be like a dozen other things already in the toy box. And for an extra $1, they’ll do the wrapping!
  • For the person who seems to have everything, you’ll definitely find something they don’t at Global Gifts. Handmade journals, metal and beaded jewelry, hand-carved games and fair trade chocolates. Everything you’ll find is sourced from artisans around the world, supporting fair wages, gender equity and dignified working conditions.

Ashley, our Community & Events Manager:

  • Socks are not just for stockings, these socks with sassy sayings are some of my favorites to give and get! And under $15 at Silver in the City
  • What’s better than the gift of outdoors? An annual pass to Eagle Creek is a must-give in our house – hiking, fishing, kayaking – you name it, you can do it all at Eagle Creek!
  • I love giving the gift of experience – and while it’s close to my heart, it’s also one of the best ways to give three experiences in one. IndyHub’s Passport X, the Indy Art Sampler is the perfect gift to explore Indy’s incredible arts scene! [Editor’s note: she’s totally right.]

Laura, our Communications Manager:

  • The Ambassador Clutch from People for Urban Progress is the perfect gift for that someone looking for a stylish and functional way to carry the basics. A large pocket and a zippered enclosure is great for keys and little things. I typically carry my wallet along with phone, keys, and a book! Shopping for the man in your life? Check out their wallets.
  • I discovered these local natural fragrances from Ambre Blends earlier this year and cannot get enough! With five scents to choose from, you’re sure to find one that fits. I’m partial to ‘solace’ and ‘ambre’, but all of them will take you away to a calming place. You can find them at Invoke and other Indy boutiques!
  • Know someone who loves sending (and receiving) mail? Give them the gift of greeting cards from Haven Paperie, created by local designer Heidi Heth! Each month, they’ll get 4 cards (including postage) and envelopes so they can mail them away to all their friends. How cool is that?!

Charles, our Communications & Events Specialist:

  • This Christmas I think the Eagle Creek Golf Course Season Pass is the perfect holiday gift for any avid golfer such as myself. Not only is Eagle Creek beautiful, it’s also one of the most enjoyable courses to play in Indy. It’s a Pete Dye course, which every golfer knows is a special treat to play on. (PS- check out our No Mean City story about his courses!)
  • Pacers tickets are a MUST this year. With newcomers such as Victor Oladipo, and Domantis Sabonis, and common staples like Lance Stephenson and Myles Turner, this team is fun to watch. The Pacers are also a small market team, so low-priced tickets are always available.

Mary, our Digital Media Intern:

  • You can never go wrong with a good book as a gift! My favorite place to find a new read is Indy Reads Books right off the cultural trail and just around the corner from IndyHub HQ. Plus, you give back to good cause!
  • I wouldn’t be Butler student if I didn’t mention, Butler Basketball tickets! Hinkle magic will not disappoint. There are a few fun games coming up in the 2018 and tickets are usually economically-friendly.
  • Looking for a gift for the taste buds? Grab a pie at Locally Grown Gardens in Broad Ripple. Apple and sugar cream are my favorite! The pies make for a perfect holiday party gift.

No need to stress over gift ideas – we hope sharing our favorites helped with your last minute shopping. Don’t forget ‘tis the season is more than just presents, enjoy some time with family and friends these next few weeks! Happy Holidays from the entire IndyHub team!
