What is your day-job?

CEO & Co-Founder of EatHere, an online, social-engagement network dedicated to connecting Indianapolis and beyond with vibrant food scenes across 28 cities. Our mission is to decentralize local food culture, allowing everyone access, fostering a sense of community and celebration around this industry. Through UGC, original stories and IRL experiences, EatHere showcases the best of Indianapolis dining, empowering residents to discover and support local restaurants and food entrepreneurs.

Where are you originally from?

Indianapolis, IN born and raised

If you had to choose one mode of transportation to get around our city, which would you choose and why?

In the perfect world, would love to bike everywhere but with this Indy weather, that’s not gonna happen. I like to get from point  A to B fairly quickly and reliably so a car would be my mode of transportation around the city.

Which local coffee joint is your favorite? What’s your go-to order?

Love, love Coat Check, Quills & MoJo’s – Espresso shots, coffee black, and I’m into grean tea’s, and a good hot chocolate. Quills has a bomb hot chocolate.

What are you most excited for with 1828, or who has been your favorite speaker thus far?

1828 has been a fulfilling experience so far. I’ve made personal connections with classmates and presenters which is a huge plus. 1828 has also unexpectedly brought in new business and professional connections which have been very valuable to Eat Here Indy. I’m most excited about the long-lasting relationships I will have once the class is complete. Favorite Speaker so far has been Angela Smith Jones. She’s unfiltered and completely honest and transparent. She’s also doing a ton for the city!

What are you most excited about when thinking about the future of our city?

Indy is still developing and that’s what’s so exciting. There’s plenty of room and opportunity for people to make their mark in this market. No it isn’t easy, but well worth it in the end. Indy isn’t a crowded market so concepts, people and businesses can stand out if they have a great product. Indy residents do a great job of supporting and backing things they’re interested in and passionate about so it doesn’t feel like you’re building alone. I’m personally excited to be creating a business that matters right here at home, and the social & economic impact my company brings to city.

What was the best compliment you’ve ever received?

Someone recently told me that although they haven’t personally met me, I’ve been a huge inspiration to their life by the way I’m living mine.

If you could make one rule that everyone on earth had to follow, what would it be?

To do at least one thing they’ve always been afraid to do.

Truthfully, what gets you fired up (whether it’s excitement, fear, anger)?

Fear of not making the most of my time while I’m alive. At this point in my life and professional career, I’m playing the long-game and building for legacy and financial freedom.
