There’s something to be said about moments where you get to nestle up to close friends or meet friends of friends, all while you crack open your favorite beverage. (champagne, anyone?) It’s mid-May, and among all things race-related, we’ve officially hit porch season here in Indy.
Porch parties are meant to open up a world of welcome, conversation and make memories. The simplicity of joining your neighbors in the most casual of settings can lead to intimate moments that open up the door to meaningful and lasting relationships.
Most recently, IndyHub hosted our 1828 Class VI graduation and end of the year celebration in true Porch Party style! Embracing the theme of May, we had representatives from IMS come with race swag, including sunglasses, buttons, flags, and tickets for practices at the track before the big day comes.
It was so fun seeing this amazing, young talent pool relax and just be present. Our 1828ers are constantly on the go moving and shaking around Indy, but it was great to see them cut loose a bit! We had grill masters, we had beverage pourers, we had comedians; all while conversations flowed easily throughout the group. The connections and friendships made through this 1828 class in particular make my heart feel so full.
Hosting a Porch Party is as easy as just inviting your friends and neighbors! And here’s the best part: if you register your porch party in May, you could win some amazing prizes, including having a local celebrity or IndyCar driver stop by your party. (Say Whaaat?!) Learn more.
