Visiting Research Associate, Giving USA
The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy seeks an exceptional colleague to join the research and international programs department at the first school of its kind. The Visiting Associate will develop all aspects of the research for the annual Giving USA report on philanthropy for the United States, including data collection, analysis, writing, proofreading, review, and interpretation.
Other tasks include but are not limited to:
- Implement enhancements to Giving USA as determined by the sponsor and the Giving USA Advisory Council on Methodology (external)
- Coordinate content of the report’s chapters with the sponsor and the Editorial Review Board. Prepare up to three reports on varied topics selected by the sponsors during the year
- Assist with fundraising to support the work of the project. Will also cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with new partners to expand and support the school’s mission of research and education
- Write or edit interpretative material presenting research findings, putting them into the overall context of philanthropic activity in the year under study and over the course of the history of Giving USA
